DJ Roonie G tours CHAUVET® HQ

DJ Roonie G, a creative superstar and unique A/V artist stopped by our CHAUVET® world headquarters. We armed him with a video camera on his tour, which led to some uproarious experiences captured on video. The result is the super-fun video we have posted here. How to (Properly) Wrap Cables

When new cables are purchased, they are sometimes folded (yes, folded) end to end, which makes properly wrapping them a challenge. Not only is this unproductive, but re-training cables can be frustrating.

Earning a degree in recording engineering will undoubtedly drill this concept into your head, but you can take a free crash course at DJ University and spend that unused cash on new lights for your rig. This cable practice is not only great for the mobile disc jockey, but it’s also very useful for home theater installations, bands, mobile musicians or a garden hose.

Our February Facebook Fan of the Month has been a club and mobile DJ since 1976 and resides in sunny California. He shares his knowledge on club/DJ forums as well as our YouTube channel and Facebook page. Plus, he was a finalist for our 2nd annual product review contest. We asked DJ Mauro Advise these six questions:

CHAUVET Fans of the Month: Lance Morris, Alan Robb, Jasper Ibe, Maruo Advise (L to R)

The social media fan base for our extensive line of club/DJ lighting products is an experienced group of light lovers who like to share their experiences and knowledge of entertainment lighting on social networking sites like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. To reward their zeal, we select one Facebook fan per month.

For January 2011, it was Jasper Ibe. He is a very active member in the DJ community on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.  Below are a few questions we asked Jasper and this is what he had to say:
